Our Services
Petrochemical Equipment Inpsection
MidSpec provides your company with value-based Inspectors to monitor fabrication from design to completion at any vendor facility. Our inspection staff has years of experience in both the inspection and fabrication of heat transfer equipment and pressure vessels. We work with both the customer and the vendor to provide the most economical and detailed inspections possible. We deliver in-depth and timely reports assuring that the vendor is keenly aware of the customer specifications and requirements. We also maintain an active working relationship with the vendor to ensure the required equipment is on time and meeting specification.
New & Used Equipment Inspection
MidSpec offers years of experience across a variety of equipment, including but not limited to construction equipment, pressure vessels, pumps, generators and fabrication equipment. If your company is interested in buying new or used equipment, our staff is available to complete an on-site inspection to ensure it meets specification prior to delivery. We will provide you with a detailed non-bias report including a comprehensive set of inspector images regarding the condition of the equipment for your review.
Industrial Coating Inspection
MidSpec personnel have years of experience in industrial coating, surface preparation and painting, including hot dip galvanizing. Our headquarters are located within 2 hours of one of the largest providers of hot dip galvanizing in the country and our staff has completed multiple inspection visits to the facility representing multiple customers. Our staff is familiar with the requirements of ASTM 123 and can provide final and in-process inspection of hot dip galvanizing operations. Our staff can provide your company with detailed inspection reports for many types of coating systems including industrial enamels, high solids zinc, multi-coat high solids epoxy, and more.
Pre-shipment & Container Loading Inspection
MidSpec can provide personnel on-site to complete witness inspection and detailed packing inspections for overseas or domestic freight being containerized. Companies provide products and equipment to international destinations know that final documentation of the actual contents of any shipping container can become a major issue when the container is received overseas. MidSpec can provide un-biased detailed reporting for the contents of each container, including comprehensive photos of the contents in the container including container and seal numbers. This service offers assurance and saves customers time researching packing lists and documentation while providing your customer with a 3rd party report that assures all contents have been loaded.
Welding Inspection
MidSpec can provide CWI based welding inspection for all welded equipment and structures including pressure vessels and heat transfer equipment built to ASME Section VIII Div. 1, Div. II and ASME Section I. MidSpec personnel have years of inspection and fabrication experience from both sides of the hood and will provide our customer with detailed reporting regarding not only the completed welding operations but the key details of the in-process welding that have an effect on the process life of your equipment. Our personnel have experience in multiple types of welding operations including but not limited to SAW, GTAW, FCAW, SMAW and GMAW and have years of experience with multiple types of base and filler metals including dissimilar metal welds.
Shop Audits
MidSpec provides highly skilled auditors to review the capability and capacity of fabrication shops that have quoted work for your company. With years of technical knowledge regarding ASME and API fabrication and inspection our staff can provide your company with a detailed report of the true capability of a vendor facility and staff prior to the start of any fabrication. Putting your project in capable hands from the beginning is critical to the success of any project.
